In 2015 Speyside Bourbon Cooperage Inc., came to Jackson, Ohio where it established its’ first new barrel cooperage in the United States. It is the first Speyside facility to focus solely on the production of new, charred, white oak barrels for the bourbon industry. The cooperage became the first of its kind in the nation to utilize new methods which married state of the art technology and modern manufacturing to the age-old craft of coopering -- creating a world class bourbon barrel.

Atkins, VA - Cooperage
In September of 2018, Speyside announced the acquisition of the former Merillat facility in Atkins, VA for the purpose of building a second, cooperage for the production of bourbon barrels. This will be the first such facility in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This new cooperage is scheduled to open in the spring of 2020.

Waverly, OH - Stave Mill
In August of 2018, Speyside purchased an existing stave mill in Waverly, Ohio with whom it had been doing business. The two facilities (North and South) continue to provide Speyside with high-quality white oak staves to be used in the production of bourbon barrels.

Millboro Industrial Park
Millboro, VA - Stave Mill
We opened our first bourbon stave mill in the spring of 2018. This state of the art facility, engineered for maximum productivity and safety, was built in the Millboro Industrial Park, in Bath County Virginia. It was the first facility of its kind to receive both an AFID planning Grant and an AFID facilities grant.
